It’s been far too long since I’ve posted, and I regret that. In order to make it up to those who have been waiting, begging and pleading for some new vintage content, let’s go on a little tour of vintage from the last 2 months. We’ll start with this excellent US Navy Flight Jacket -a great piece of military history that sold on eBay way back on May 18th. From the listing:
“This jacket is an original U.S. Navy 37J1 from around 1937. The jacket is in well used condition, and is one of the most rare types found these days. These were issued throughout the 1930s by the Navy for flight crews, and a number of contractors made them, including Aero Leather. This particular contractor made flight clothing of other types for the Navy as well.
We were able to lend this very same jacket to The Real McCoy’s of Japan to make their own copy of this contract. It has done well, and they are currently still making it.”
